Wendy Stanton (Anna Chancellor) meets Mickey (posing as Fashion designer Hilary King) and Ash (posing as Humphrey) in a bar. The magic of Nuvo starts at 00m46s and really kick in from 02m45s when the ‘spilled milk’ cleans itself up and puts all the liquid back in the jug by 03m02s.

This Birmingham based episode has some great location shots of the city from 12mo3s as the gang arrive at New Street station. Brindleyplace makes an appearance at 12m53s as Sean stakes out their mark, Georgina Althorp (Angela Griffin).

At 10m40s, Emma meets Linda Runcorn (Nina Sosanya) to discuss her unexpected inheritance at a bar in a London Square. Filmed in Brindleyplace on August Bank Holiday Monday 2011 this scene shows off how easily modern Birmingham can easily pass itself off as cosmopolitan London.

Episode One

The first ever episode of the long running entertainment series explains the tests that contestants were subjected to before being selected to take part. At 01m17s you will see a clip of the exterior of the NIA before the development of Brindleyplace (specifically the Sea Life Centre) was completed. ‘We Will Rock You’ introduces Atlaspheres, the first ever game of the series, a kind of giant hamster ball challenge.


Brum (2001)

These credits from a 2001 episode of Brum feature quite a lot of Brindleyplace plus scenes at the Mailbox, Navigation Street and Victoria Square.


Tezz (2012)

This October 2011 footage was taken during the filming of the movie Tezz on the canal outside the National Indoor Arena. It looks like the stunt didn’t quite go according to plan as both of the actor end up in the water.
